Why Venetian blinds?

Crisp lines. Remarkably flexible light.

Redirect the sun

Angle light towards the ceiling, away from a screen or softly across the room.

Privacy without darkness

Tilt the view away from outside while retaining useful natural light.

Warm or contemporary

Wood tones add warmth; painted and aluminium finishes feel cleaner and sharper.

Easy everyday care

A quick dust across the horizontal slats keeps the blind looking considered.

How they work

Tilt, lift and shape the room.

Horizontal slats rotate together to control the direction of daylight and the view through the window. Close them for greater privacy, leave them angled for a softer glow, or raise the blind when you want the glass completely clear.

Material matters

Slats, light
and everyday care.

We will recommend a finish that works with both the room and the way the window is used.

Ask the team

Yes, when the material is chosen for the conditions. Aluminium and suitable faux-wood finishes are generally more practical around changing humidity than natural timber. We will advise for the exact window position.

Closed slats reduce light and increase privacy, but small gaps around and between them allow some light through. They should not normally be considered a complete blackout product.

Wood offers natural grain and warmth, faux wood gives a substantial painted or timber look with practical care, and aluminium creates a slimmer, lighter profile.

Wider slats make a stronger statement and can suit larger windows, while narrower slats create a finer rhythm. Window size, recess depth and the stack when raised all matter.

Close the slats and dust gently with a soft cloth or brush, then tilt them the other way and repeat. Follow the specific care guidance for your selected material.

Often yes, provided there is enough depth and clearance around handles. We measure these details and can also discuss face fitting when it gives better coverage.
